Log grown mushrooms
Growing mushrooms on logs is a perfect complement for the maple sugarbush on Belden Farm. Maple logs that are thinned in the spring are inoculated and about 12 months later begin producing Shiitake mushrooms. We have also added Lion's Mane and oyster mushrooms, also grown on logs.
